Biography
Radmehr Torabi, MD, is a fellowship-trained Neurosurgeon at the Norman Prince Neurosciences Institute. Dr. Torabi is co-director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center and of Endovascular Neurosurgery, both at Rhode Island Hospital. In addition, he is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery and Diagnostic Imaging at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. Torabi grew up in Rhode Island where he completed his undergraduate studies at University of Rhode Island. He went on to earn his medical degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine, Antigua and Barbuda where he graduated Cum Laude.
He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Rhode Island Hospital/The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Following this he completed a fellowship in Vascular Neurosurgery and Interventional Neuroradiology under Adam Arthur, MD, MPH, at Semmes-Murphey Clinic in Memphis, Tennessee, and Dr. Jason Wenderoth, BSc, MBBS, in Sydney, Australia where he subspecialized in the treatment of neurovascular diseases.Trained in both endovascular and open surgical techniques for treating blood vessel disorders of the nervous system, Dr. Torabi provides a comprehensive and versatile approach in the care of neurovascular disorders. This allows for a tailored treatment that is specific to the needs of each patient and the complexity of the condition.
In addition, Dr. Torabi serves as the Co-director of the Cerebrovascular Surgery and Endovascular Neurosurgery outcomes database at Brown University. He has contributed to the scientific literature with numerous peer-reviewed publications and has presented both nationally and internationally.

Director of the Endovascular Neurosurgery outcomes laboratory and will be doing clinical research on outcomes of open and endovascular neurosurgery in treating the conditions mentioned above.
