Comprehensive Pituitary Center
Overview
The comprehensive pituitary center covers medical and surgical treatments for parasellar tumors (tumors of, or adjacent to, the pituitary gland).
We use state-of-the-art, endoscopic equipment for the minimally invasive surgical removal of pituitary tumors. Our team has completed hundreds endoscopic procedures to remove pituitary and associated tumors. We believe this technology leads to safer outcomes and quicker recovery times. Gamma Knife and Cyberknife radiosurgery technology are also utilized for treatment. Finally, our medical team are experts in the treatment of pituitary tumors, as some lesions are amenable to medical treatment.
There is a quarterly pituitary conference with endocrinologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists and neuropathologists, where we view cases and formulate recommendations through interdisciplinary collaboration.

Endoscopic techniques for removal of pituitary tumors have greatly facilitated the removal of these tumors through a minimally invasive means. Visualization is greatly improved and patients seem very satisfied with this less invasive approach which can be completed through a nostril.
Research
Evaluation of long term follow-up following endoscopic trans-nasal resection of tumors.
