Biography

Background

David B. Kurland, MD, PhD, is a spinal neurosurgeon with expertise in complex spinal deformity and reconstruction, revision spine surgery, spine oncology, and craniospinal neurotrauma. Dr. Kurland attended medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine as part of the NIH-funded Medical Scientist Training Program (MD/PhD). He subsequently completed his residency training in Neurosurgery at NYU Langone Medical Center.

He has authored numerous peer-reviewed and award-winning publications in basic science and translational research and is recognized as a Doximity Top 10% Most Cited Clinician and Op-Med Author.
