Department of Neurosurgery

Sumaiya Sayeed, MD, earned an undergraduate degree with honors in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University. She then attended the Yale School of Medicine, where she received her medical degree and pursued research in spine and pediatric neurosurgery. 

 

Sumaiya returns to Brown for residency, where she has a growing interest in spine and vascular neurosurgery. Outside the hospital, she enjoys going to the beach, hiking, painting, reading, and exploring coffee shops.
